Technology in education will continue to evolve in the future, with automation playing a progressively important role.
FREMONT CA: Institutions across the educational sector are looking to adopt high-tech equipment like Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality as a means of magnifying their quality of service as key curriculum tools. Duolingo, Udemy, and Coursera are a few edtech platforms that accelerated rapidly in the rise of the Covid- 19 pandemic, and the industries surrounding these leading companies started growing simultaneously.
With AI and reality technology set to take center stage with expenditure reaching $18.7 billion by 2025, advanced technology will be deeply intertwined with education. Helping institutions retire old ways of thinking and working in order to harness technology to transform institutional outcomes, digital transformation plays a key role, said Susan Grajek, Vice President of partnerships, communities, and research for EDUCASE.
Maxim Manturov, head of investment research at Freedom Finance Europe noted that the Covid- 19 outbreak has completely changed trends globally, expediting the adoption of technology in different sectors. Attempts to integrate technology into teaching were made before the pandemic, but the outbreak has accelerated and strengthened this trend and eventually this will increase the number of people eager to move to online learning.
Edtech firms are increasingly trying to create a suitable learning environment for students by letting them choose their own learning paths and courses while constantly reevaluating the curriculum. Immersive learning can tap into large-scale virtual reality. With the rise of consumer reality technology, anybody with a smart phone has the power to access augmented and virtual reality.
Facebook, Google, and Niantic are all racing to produce the next generation of AR eyewear, accelerating the adoption of the virtual classroom. With the emergence of successful apps like Unimersiv, Timelooper, and Google Earth VR, interest in immersive edtech will expand rapidly in the coming years as hardware becomes more powerful. The emergence of immersive education platforms has the potential to make education enjoyable for a wide range of learners, helping to drive greater engagement in an industry with a lot of potential.
